Hi there
Do you feel you straddle between multiple different worlds? Do you navigate dynamics not only in the outside world, but within the diaspora? Have you taken an unconventional path against mainstream expectations?

Therapy that meets your needs
Identity is multi-faceted, and it is acceptable to not fit neatly into a box. Based on my own personal experiences and upbringing, I aim to create a safe container for you to explore your dreams, identity and who you want to be in this world. I am open to and welcome working with bi-poc working professionals, adult children of immigrants, and artists, creatives, healers, and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds.Hi. My name is Ame (pronounced Amy). I am a cisgender female, second generation Northeast Indian American. As a highly sensitive person, I provide a non-judgmental, supportive yet direct approach. As a yogi and dancer, I take a somatic lens in my work, as it allows us to explore your experiences in the present moment while honoring the wisdom your body holds.
About my approach
My practice also integrates Gestalt therapy and in our therapeutic work together I will draw from parts work, relational therapy and experiential exercises. I enjoy working creatively and combining both holistic and evidence-informed schools of therapy to support you. Based on my personal and professional lived experiences as a woman of color, I believe it is important to come from a place of cross-cultural humility in understanding others in both life and in my practice.
